This treatment is safe on all skin colors and skin types. Results can be seen within a few days after first treatment but typically 3 treatments a month apart are required for maximum results. Single touch up treatments are advised every year to maintain results.
The treatment itself takes about 45-60 minutes. Our medical aesthetician will use a topical anesthetic to help minimize discomfort. Treatment feels somewhat “spicy” with the sensation of pin pricks and some heat. There is little to no downtime post treatment. The skin will be red for a few hours and a post treatment skin care kit with cleanser, anti-inflammatory and soothing skin balm is recommended. Lumecca IPL, otherwise known as Intense Pulsed Light Therapy, is a treatment that can be used to treat a multitude of different skin conditions - rosacea, hyperpigmentation and acne scarring just to name a few. Lumecca can be used on many areas of the body with the most common areas being the ones most affected by the sun - face, chest, neck and hands.
IPL treatment is performed by a skilled medical aesthetician using a handheld wand that emits pulses of high energy light. The light energy is absorbed by hemoglobin and pigment (melanin) under the skin. This targeted treatment takes advantage of the body’s natural healing process to remove the unwanted redness or pigment.
The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes and is relatively painless. Most patients feel a slight “snapping” sensation like a small rubber band. There is no downtime, but you may notice more redness and darkening of pigmentation, lasting up to 48 hours. Results of treatment will be seen within a few days as the body clears the unwanted pigment, Long lasting results are seen after 3 to 4 treatments spaced a few weeks apart. Candidates for treatment should stay out of the sun and use high SPF sunscreen prior to treatment. The use of retinol and Vitamin A creams also should be discontinued prior to and during the course of treatment.
Anyone with lighter skin will benefit from the rejuvenating effect of IPL as it evens out skin tone and creates a more youthful appearance. Because IPL energy is absorbed by melanin, this technology cannot be safely used on darker skin.

Radio-frequency technology or RF is a non-invasive treatment that is used to tighten up the skin by delivering controlled energy that stimulates new collagen and elastin production. It is very effective at reducing the signs of mild to moderate aging by targeting crows feet, jawline and sagging skin on the neck.
Treatment can be done on any skin color and is very relaxing, similar to a hot stone massage. It is often used to maintain the results from Morpheus8 treatments without the associated treatment discomfort.

Treatments for: Unwanted hair

In preparation for laser hair removal it is best to shave the night before or the morning of treatment as the hair absorbs the laser energy and releases heat. After laser hair removal, you may notice some slight redness and swelling which should go away within 48 hours. Avoid shaving, plucking or waxing hair after treatment.
Neurotoxin injections can be can used to smooth wrinkles, prevent migraine headaches and treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). Fat dissolve injections are used to reduce fat volume in areas such as jowls and chin. Our licensed nurse injector uses a fine needle to inject small amounts of the compound into the treatment area. Depending on the goal of treatment, you may receive several injections in different spots.
The discomfort is usually mild. The injections may sting and feel uncomfortable, but the procedure is over quickly. You can return to work and most activities immediately after treatment. To reduce redness, swelling or bruising, don’t rub or put pressure on the treatment area for 12 hours, stay upright (don’t lie down) for three to four hours, and avoid physical exertion for 24 hours. Treatments last about 3-4 months depending on what area is being treated.
